FACT CHECK: HB2785 / overnight tabulation

FALSE CLAIM: Kolodin claims sole credit for HB2785.

FACT: While Kolodin sponsored HB2785 it was collaborated on by numerous legislators and the Secretary of State's Office. It was eventually signed by Gov. Hobbs in February 2024 with bipartisan support, which for the first time required election officials to tabulate through the night without delay and allowed early-ballot tabulation to begin on receipt. Election officials credited it with faster reporting in subsequent elections.
