FALSE CLAIM: Alex Kolodin claims his opponent represented drug cartels as an attorney.
FACT: As a public defender, Adrian Fontes represented individual criminal defendants in cases connected to weapons trafficking. Representing an individual defendant is categorically different from representing a cartel as an organization — even a Kolodin-aligned source acknowledges the public record does not establish that Fontes represented a cartel organization or committed wrongdoing through those representations. Separately, Alexander Kolodin was placed on 18 months' probation by the State Bar of Arizona and ordered to complete five legal-ethics programs for his role in the 2020 "kraken" election lawsuits, and was separately hit with a $2,000 sanction by the Arizona Supreme Court in a related case.
